1. Who We Are
Tawasul is a mobile application that connects customers with independent home-service professionals in Morocco. The policy applies to the iOS and Android apps and to connected account, booking, chat, verification, and support features.
2. Information We Collect
Tawasul collects only the information needed to provide, secure, and improve the service. The agreed booking price may be kept for booking history and support, while customers currently pay professionals in cash.
- Account information: name, email, authentication account, optional phone number, language, avatar, and customer or professional role.
- Location information: approximate area, service address, and precise GPS only during active job features when allowed.
- Booking content: service details, descriptions, photos, dates, offers, agreed prices, status updates, reviews, and chat messages.
- Professional verification: verification status, session reference, decision date, and an applicable rejection reason.
- Device and diagnostics: notification token, device type, app version, crash reports, and basic diagnostics.
3. Information We Do Not Collect or Use
Tawasul limits collection and does not build an advertising profile.
- Tawasul does not sell personal data or use cross-app tracking for third-party advertising.
- Tawasul does not store payment-card numbers, CVC codes, card expiry dates, or bank details for app payments.
- Tawasul does not store raw professional ID-card or selfie images.
- A customer's exact address is not revealed before an offer or booking is accepted.
4. How We Use Your Information
Information is used to operate accounts, match nearby customers and professionals, manage offers and bookings, enable booking chat, deliver important notifications, support live tracking, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and improve reliability and security.
- Create and secure customer, professional, and administrator accounts.
- Manage offers and job stages from request through completion or cancellation.
- Verify professionals and enforce platform safeguards.
- Send booking, offer, message, and job-progress notifications.
5. Location and Live Tracking
Before a customer accepts a professional, only an approximate area is shown. The accepted professional may then receive the exact service location needed to complete the job.
Live tracking may run only during the appropriate active-job stage, such as when a professional is on the way, and stops when it is no longer needed. Device settings control location permission; manual address or map-area selection may remain available where supported.
6. Messaging and Notifications
Customers and professionals can communicate when there is a valid booking or accepted offer. Messages are retained to support the booking conversation and help with disputes or safety concerns.
- Customers may be notified about offers, messages, job-status changes, arrival, and completion.
- Professionals may be notified about urgent requests, accepted offers, messages, and booking changes.
- Notifications support bookings and are not used for third-party advertising.
8. Provider Identity Verification
Professionals must complete identity verification before fully working on Tawasul. A verification partner may check identity documents, selfies, and liveness. Tawasul stores the minimum result needed to manage approval, not the raw ID-card or selfie images.
A professional who is unverified, rejected, blocked, or incomplete cannot receive urgent requests, appear as available, send offers, or accept bookings.
9. Payments
Tawasul currently uses cash payments between customers and professionals after service completion. The agreed price may be retained for booking history, support, receipts, disputes, and platform records. Tawasul does not store payment-card details.
10. Account Deletion and Data Retention
Users may request account deletion inside the app. Login is disabled and personal profile information is removed or anonymized where possible. A completed booking may remain in the other party's history without the deleted user's personal identity.
Certain information may be retained for legal obligations, safety, fraud prevention, disputes, accounting, operational records, and administrator audit logs.
- Inactive customer accounts may be scheduled for deletion or anonymization after 60 days, advance warnings, and a grace period.
- Logging in during the grace period may cancel the process.
- Provider accounts are not automatically deleted under the customer inactivity rule.
11. Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, including Moroccan Law No. 09-08, users may have rights relating to their personal information.
- Request access to personal data held by Tawasul.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request account and data deletion.
- Object to or request limits on certain processing.
- Contact Morocco's data-protection authority, the CNDP, where appropriate.
12. Security
Tawasul applies reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including secure authentication, encrypted communication where supported, database access controls, protected private-file storage, administrator-only sensitive actions, and backend validation. No system can guarantee perfect security.
13. Children
Tawasul is not intended for children under 16 and does not knowingly collect their personal data. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information should contact Tawasul.
14. International Data Transfers
Some technical providers may process data outside Morocco. Tawasul relies on providers that apply safeguards appropriate to applicable privacy and security requirements.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
The policy may change as legal, technical, or business requirements evolve. Tawasul will update the effective date and may provide an in-app or other appropriate notice for important changes.
16. Contact Us
Questions, privacy requests, and account-deletion requests can be sent to support@tawasul.ma. The currently published policy is in English; French, Arabic, and Darija versions may be provided when available.
